Costco has four Tapo TC85 cameras for $100. This is $40 off their regular (already good) price. Sale ends 10/18, while supplies last.

Note the solar panel version is also on sale ($140), though the mounting system for these may not be magnetic like the ones without solar panels.

Just bought the 2k solar one from Amazon for $65 on prime day. Very tempted to get the 4 pk and return Amazon, this is about half the price.

Any one have experience with the wire free? Mostly, how long does the camera go between charges? For $40 I don't mind getting the solar option but the wire free look so clean!

It really depends on how often it is triggered. My more active cameras need a recharge every few months or so. Much longer than the Arlo cameras they replaced!

Yeah, the Prime Day deal for the 2-pack on the non-solar panel magnetic cameras was $115. This is deal is 15 bucks cheaper for 2 more cameras. I didn't even need that many but the price is great.

The time between charges on these really depends on how active they are, but they can last several months between charges. Personally that's long enough for me to not bother with the solar panels (I like that they are more inconspicuous/compact as well). Also the mounting solution with the magnets is much better IMO, especially if the cameras are not in a difficult to get to location.

I'd say if the cameras are going to be in a hard spot to reach, maybe the solar panels are the way to go for you.

Will also add that we have the wireless and are quite happy with it. Does take some tinkering with detection (which impacts battery life), but we VASTLY prefer it to the previous Wyze garbage. We usually get 3-6 months out of a charge and live in a cold, northern climate.

I've got some Blink ones I am going to be replacing. They are terrible, slow, and require a hub for local recording.

Nice part about Amazon is they'll actually deliver...Costco has delayed every single order I've placed with them for the last month.

I am doing the same - returning the Amazon ones and getting from Costco.

I have two wire free items from Tapo - they're both doorbells. Back door sees very little use so it's still on its first charge (3 months ago). Front door I've charged once in 3 months but it needs it again. My dog sets it off a lot. Everything else I have is plugged in or solar - those all work great.

I paid $139 in June for the solar versions. No complaints for outdoor sure. Use hardwired, dedicated NVR cameras for continuous recording/ surveillance.

Nice deal. I wonder if Costco also gets deals for the little hub. I don't want to buy a separate card for each camera but still have an old laptop hard drive somewhere for storage
