Also, this is the 12th gen version from 2024, which is more than adequate! But you should know that the 2026 13th gen (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FXJ9PGSJ) is coming out in a few weeks. Up to you if it's worth the price difference.
Also note that at this very moment there's a jailbreak for current versions called Vera. This may or may not have been a factor in me opting for the 2024 PW6 model.

For example, I added the ZenOS plugin and then set up a button to rotate my screen 180 degrees so I can move it over from my right side to my left when I'm reading in bed. It's a small thing but really useful to me.

It's kind of a cat and mouse game in that Amazon is constantly releasing new firmware updates to patch the holes these jailbreaks use. So there are 'windows' where you can jailbreak your kindle. The Vera jailbreak is in such a window right now where you can apply it to current 2024 Kindle version. I got my Paperwhite delivered yesterday and had the jailbreak running in less than 10m, all on the device. Just follow the steps carefully, super easy.
