compatibility. some programs just aren't going to work. i guess its come a long way and is still getting there but you'll have programs that just won't work. but i guess these cpu's are actually low battery usage beasts and should be fine for most.

I would definitely return and rebuy new because you basically get little to no ASUS warranty on an open box and BB won't give you anything either unless you're a Total member, but even then you have to pay a deductible. RETURN IT and get a brand new one with a full 1YR ASUS warranty.

This particular laptop is a dream. 3K OLED 120Hz screen with the almost best Snapdragon Elite Extreme chip and the whipped cream and cherry is 48GB RAM! In this day and age, getting all this for under $1400 is a "buy now, think later" decision if you need a laptop.

I have one and really haven't had much issue with app compatibility but everyone's mileage may vary. If you have specific apps you need to run, there are sites that list all the ARM apps that are available. Most of the common stuff has ARM versions now. If not, there is emulation mode, but I try real hard to keep mine close as possible to native ARM.

Windows is very snappy on this. Moreso than on an Intel/AMD laptop. It's very fast. MacBook-like fast.

Planning to do the same! I actually ordered a used one in "Excellent condition" yesterday, but then saw this deal. Getting it brand new for just $130 more was an absolute no-brainer.


My only minor gripes: I really wish this had USB-C/thunderbolt 4 ports on both sides and a haptic touchpad.

Crazy deal. I've had x86 laptops for 20 years and I've never gotten more than 3 hours out of them no matter how much I kill TSRs. Normal work, no gaming, no video watching. This is the first time I've gotten 10 actual hours of real usage.

Amazing laptop been using since release. Haven't encountered any problematic software except Insta360 Studio. Even corporate checkpoint VPN works fine. At home I use it on Best Performance power mode and I can't even hear the fan. My annoying HP G4 Thunderbolt dock fan is noisier than my laptop!!

OH also Macrium Reflect Free doesn't work (only in paid) so I moved to Hasleo
