For reference, this has specs close to the upper end mac from previous* generation, and with this amount of RAM Apple would be selling it for like $3500 if not more. So it's a great deal. Storage can be upgraded I believe, and ASUS is working on improving the linux support (new drivers are in the process of being merged into linux)

I would say comparable to M4 Pro for CPU performance and ~20% behind M4 Pro on graphics
