I don't know why IT would hate these, I can say switching to this style mouse eliminated wrist soreness from using a traditional mouse (and getting old I guess). If you are someone who spends your days at the desk/computer, I recommend this style mouse.

Not sure what IT has to do with it, but this style mouse was a lifesaver for my shoulder pain. I don't know about this one in particular. I do know I didn't like the one Anker makes. The clicking force for the buttons is way too high.

As someone in IT, who supports ~800 users, why would I have a problem with this? Why would it be hate towards me if a user procured one of these and brought it to work?

This mouse is a better grip than the $100 Logitech vertical.

I have this for about 2 months now and it works and feels great. Would recommend.

edit: I actually have this one which has Bluetooth at the same price

"Typical Price: $15.99"

Can we at least get a decent discount on these paid Promotions?

edit: 32TU for a 5% discount?? what is happening. I feel Slickdeals activated bonus votes this week or something.

I don't know why it would impact an IT guy one way or the other. Why do they care what kind of mousepad someone uses or if they use a touchpad or a touch screen or anything else? It really just depends on if you think the more comfortable to hold. I think they're more comfortable personally.

As an IT guy, I'm actually glad to see one of these. The first time I used one, I was surprised at how ergonomic it was. I now rock a $10 vertical mouse over my $100 high-end one.

As an IT guy, I want my users to utilize good ergonomics as training teaches us. Healthy users make happier customers. Happier employees leads to better retention and oftentimes more opportunities. But that's just my experience.

Which $10 one did you land on?

I have both and disagree with your statement, however, this mouse works almost as well as the expensive Logitech MX Vertical mouse. I bought this one a few years ago, to use while traveling, but I ended up using it as my daily work mouse and I use the Logitech on my home PC. The Logitech's rubberized coating covers more of the thumb's finger-pad area and a little less on the palm, which doesn't make a difference for me, though I have large hands and very few mice even touch that area of my palm.

Vertical mice saved me from worsening carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms and helped alleviate sharp pains in my hands.

It takes a few weeks to get used to it, but then it feels even more natural than a standard mouse, because it IS your natural hand orientation.
