The original is my favorite game in the world. I absolutely hated this remake, though. They really dropped the ball on so much of the charm and quirkiness that made the original different from all of the other JRPGs flooding the market in the wake of FF7's success.

The absence, alone, of the original VO in any form is a crime against humanity. The Voice Collection was such a cool mechanic, and even if they were set on recording all new VO and redesigning some character elements, the original VO should have been accessible in game as audio bonuses or unlockables in some manner.
