Yes it works. When they were giving away free tickets to Young Washington via Angel Studios giveaway I exchanged them for tickets of Spider-Man in XD Dbox on discount Tuesday and paid only a dollar or two difference because my Young Washington ticket was for a Friday or Saturday night (most expensive regular 2d ticket) and used the cheapest day with premiums upgrades.

It goes by the listed price for the showtime you bought with the Atom code.

Listed price isn't $5. It's the regular price.

You just can't like get an upgrade for free. So no IMAX ticket if you bought a regular ticket via ATOM.

I didn't realize cinemark did this but this is great news.

Based on that, it only works with tickets bought through cinemark.com and not tickets purchased through Atom.
