This is a truly remarkable oscillating tool. I cannot believe how much less vibration it has compared to others. But be aware of two things: 1) this is starlock only, and there really aren't adapters to use non-starlock blades (that are cheap) and 2) I am 99% certain I just saw this model is getting replaced imminently, which might also explain the price.

I concur wholeheartedly. I never used the teal version but I imagine it parallels the same differences as the other regular vs subcompact tools. Prior to this, I was using the Milwaukee M18 at work. It was not unpleasant to use - until I got this. My wall of chargers in the garage hopefully prove I'm not brand loyal, so believe me when I say this oscillating tool is the one you didnt know you needed. The successor to this one however has me intrigued. Face change only? The impossible improvement on greatness? Darn you, @tiggerooze, for informing me of a new model.

I concur I bought one 3 years ago and endless use. The starlock bits are a bit pricey but the oscillation is greatly reduced.

My assumption on why this is dropping is due to imminent release of Dewalt's new premium oscillating tool DCS359.
