I bought the $45 combo that doesn't include this larger receiver (a smaller usbc one instead) and the sound is great.

I would like to add that I had to fight myself to order the more expensive set with the charge box for $79. The Cheapo in me really wanted to save that $20, and that just felt a bit steep for a little charge box. But upon receiving it I'm really glad I did go that route. It's a nice looking little well constructed box and makes a handy case to keep the set in. Plus without it you would be plugging in three separate devices to charge. If you end up purchasing these I highly recommend going that route....
