When given the choice between a bedslinger or a CoreXY especially for about a similar price, Take CoreXY.

As you build up high the bed has to shuffle back and forth with the weight of the print. More mass swinging causes more vibration and often more artifacts.

Having had both a CoreXY (since February this year) and a bedslinger (since May), I can't say I've noticed this issue so far in my prints.

Is it possible that this issue was more likely with an older generation of FDM printers? I certainly understand the reasoning & preference between coreXY & bedslinger but my bedslinger has been great for me so far (kobra X)

Flashforge has a good reputation with their 3d printers. Creality does not. The extra cost is worth it.

The AD5X is cheaper and brand new from flashforge's California warehouse (pay through aliexpress) like 2-3 day delivery. $215

My father in law has a creality K2 SE and I was very impressed at the speed and reliability for such a low cost printer.

I havent bought a new printer in a LONG time (Ender 3 still over here), but are printers just that much better today?

Is this sparky better or worse?

Flashforge is better-- and CoreXY. Biggest downside is the smaller build volume 220x220 instead of 260x260 for this one.

No, it's inherent to the mechanics of bedslingers and filament. Once you build a model high/thin enough, acceleration always takes its toll. It's just a question of whether you've hit the magic numbers yet.

Yes they are immensely better. Went from a Ender-3 S1 to a V3 and the jump in speed/quality was huge. Not going to get into Creality/Bamboo/whatever argument but whichever you choose is going to be a giant leap forward.

I saw a 5m for $150 which seems like a good deal but and then it became $250 after I added to cart, not worth it since its now the same price at scamazon and then another went up to $350 when I reloaded the page. I'm really starting to hate aliexpress bait switch.

Ended up ordering the AD5X on sale from alix today. I was also considering the sparkx, the A1, and the K2, but for the price the AD5X seemed like the best deal for what you get.

If I were going to spend more I'd probably spend enough to get into P2S and X2D territory, so I think I'll be happy with the speed upgrade.
