They work great for the first two to three years. However, if they are heavily loaded in the middle the particle board shelves start to sag and look terrible. Ask me how I know know with a bunch of paint I had stacked lol I would try to distribute any heavy loads around the perimeter of the shelf to help mitigate this issue.

However, if you have tools to cut OSB/plywood, then unless you need this specific form factor, two sheets of OSB cut lengthwise, a few 2x4s, and a few furring strips will give you 8ft of extremely sturdy shelving for about this price too.
Still, a great deal for the convenience they offer.

I'd bring a shelf to homedepot or whatever and they will cut you new wood for it. All you need is some plywood. If you want something with curb appeal you can get some laminated maple ply as well.
Also, for anyone else considering this, a rubber mallet is your friend to install these. Or a wood board and a hammer to get the shelves into place.
