That being said if you want to get started on the right foot and this isn't just be purchased as a gift I recommend you move up to at least the TrimUI Smart Pro or a rg40xxh or the Mangmi Air X

I have all the models you mentioned except for the Mangmi Air X (did pickup the Mangmi Pocket Max, though).
Must admit, I play the TrimUI Smart Pro and R40XX H (my main go-to Linux device) far more than I pick up the RG40XX V. The BatleXP G350 has a really solid build and community support for the price, it's just that the vertical flavor isn't my personal favorite way to play (it's doable, though).
