Just installed two of these to replace expired Nest units over the weekend. Had to download First Alert (Resideo) to add the SC5s, then link that app to Google Home for integration with other Nests. However removing the expired Nests from Google Home, required redownloading the discontinued Nest app 🤦
Looks like we'll have to wait for the next gen or just use night lights.
That said, these are a good deal for those wanting to stay in the same ecosystem.
