It's not as bad as eBay but it's definitely a problem. With Brooks specifically you might as well use their "restart" storefront (basically return stock of barely-used shoes) which is more trustworthy than Amazon and at similar prices

Charm city run is legit, the issue is the listing has multiple 3rd party sellers on it. That means all the shoes that all those sellers sent to Amazon for fulfillment are likely being stored in one big group at each warehouse regardless of which seller they came from. Amazon just picks any one of those to fulfill your order. If all items from all sellers are legit, it's not an issue at all. If even one or two of them are sending in counterfeits, it becomes a risk that you might get a fake, though it's hard to say what the odds even are there.

Interesting. Are you sure? It seems crazy that they would mix product from different sellers and choose at random. If that's true, I'm really going to reduce my Amazon purchases.

My wife is a seller on amazon and that is indeed how it works, we have some items that we record serial numbers on and have had returns to us that weren't our inventory.

Is true. I read somewhere but DYODD, that Apples deal with Amazon for the stuff sold by Apple it isn't allowed to be mixed.
