I think about all the times I shopped at Sams Club and they did not have exactly what I wanted, but something reasonably close. Okay, fine. Especially in the cooler and frozen area.
And maybe I did not plan on buying forty pounds of avocados, but their special rack had them for ten bucks. Deal! How does this figure into their curb pickup? (Okay, I exaggerate.)
And do I spend the time looking at their online price for Romaine lettuce? I can say yes or no in ten seconds in the store. Same with dairy products, like sour cream, cream cheese, and other cheeses. Three and a half is the "go/no go" for cheese. One-fifty for cream cheese. It's easy to look at the sticker and grab some or walk away with a F&U.
One staple has always been the big box of tortilla chips. There are the rounds and the triangles. I won't disclose which I prefer, but they are both great buys.
