Solar watch should last a lifetime but now they are $150 plus. I would prob get the 7/10 year battery style like g100 or gd010. Often 60 to 75. Battery will last life of the watch.
Solar watches make sense for a MIP or frogman or ana/digital etc.

I prob will have mine so scratched up in 10 years it needs to be replaced.
For $65 for 10 year versus $150 ish for solar for 20 years.
I got an armitron that I bang up. $5. When battery goes I'm tossing it. I'll buy another on Walmart when they go back on sale.
Reason to get this is that it's one of the last with EL.
