I have mostly Dewalt. This is one tool where you're far better off with the Ryobi HP and a battery adapter. Just don't leave the battery in the adapter when not in use.

I did the same thing. The ryobi right angle was better and cheaper. Also lower profile and brushless.

Genuine question. What do people use this for? Drill between right studs?

Exactly. Comes in handy for drilling into tight spaces. Not so much an issue if the drywall isn't up yet, but if you're going into a finished wall to add electrical or plumbing then this would come in handy.

I've used one twice in ~40 years of home ownership, both times to drill holes for wiring tight spaces. Useful IMO if you're in the trades, but not something I see as needing to add to my collection given how infrequently I'd use it as a weekend warrior. I also feel like standard cordless drills have shrunk so much in size that it's not really an issue for me any more, as the drill body and bit will often clear pretty small spaces, even if having to angle the bit in at the start of the hole until it gains clearance to complete the hole.

Good example is when I had to replace three exhaust fan on the ceiling. This is super handy.I have the Skil one and that beat this. It tested up to 90lbs torque with 2Ah battery. I have 4Ah and I can remove the lug nut on my car. Torques at 95lbs.

Well it is OOS at this price so went looking and the Milwaukee M12 version looks to be a better buy IMO

I'd say offset drills and right angle adapters (since so many drill bits are now available with hex mount) have made these a very niche buy.
