That's definitely a you problem. I've had zero wyze cams break in 8 years. I've had one or 2 power supplies go bad and a few SD cards corrupt but that's it.

These are terrible. I had absolute nightmares with these; I purchased 2 back about a month ago. Neither cam picked up almost anything. The app was straightforward and not bad, and the quality of the video is top-notch, but I was also disappointed you couldn't alter the brightness or color, as it's a little too hot for my taste. But the constant dropped connection issues and some of the worst lag I've experienced also the dropped signal ruined the experience for me. Also has to be the most aggressive service to push you toward a subscription service I've seen.

I've had issues getting live view.
The notifications work, but glitches and gets stuck when trying to view live (and respond to doorbell). I have decent mesh wifi.

Have you had similar issues and recommend a fix?

Mesh helps but most of these cams are wifi 5 2.4ghz. So you really need to have the cameras within 20' of each mesh unit.

I guess it depends on the model. All of my V2, V3, and V4 units are working as expected. However, none of my 4 outdoor V2 survived beyond two years. 2 had battery failures, 1 with dead connection and 1 was damaged by a water leak.

Without paying the monthly fee, can I get notifications on my phone and access the short snippets? I would have strong Wi-Fi access close by and also can install a memory card. Just wanted clarification on what I actually get without locking into the monthly service.
