I did a big install with 4 Colossus amps (and a couple of Zeus) when they first came out in the mid-1980's. They were WAY bigger then. As I recall, about 30" long x 8 or 9" top to bottom. Shrinkflation?

The surfboard amps of the late 80s & early 90s were class AB, these are class D.

Thanks. I did engineering for one of those 'surfboard' amp companies. The Colossus was class G, BTW.

Definitely. I recently bought a VEVOR 3000W class D mono sub amp for $110 and it is amazingly good for the money. I'm using it on a JLW7 10" lol! I think it actually pushes close to the rated wattage which surprised the heck out of me. They don't sell the 3000W version anymore but the VEVOR 2000W is around $105-$115 right now and most of the legitimate buyers (not bots or paid shills) who have reviewed it seem to agree with my experience.
