Does it work simply with switch or is switch solely to provide power and remote required just to turn it on and off?Seems no one makes a basic fan these days that can use a wall switch for on / off and a wall switch for lights. 🤦
Plenty of those still available at a B&M hardware store.

Most of these fans will remember the last settings if you turn it off at the wall switch. If you want to change the settings, use the remote.
If you have double wall switches, one switch can be used to control the fan and the other to control the light. The remote will still change whichever wire has power, as in light or fan.
I have one of these newer DC Amazon fans and it was just easier for me to just tap both wires from the fan to one wall switch and use the remote, but you have the option to have separate switches.
I was an electrician for ten years and have a remodeling/handyman business, fwiw.
