How do I know? The ipad 2020 is what my 6yo uses. Entirely for duolingo chess and youtube.
My mom uses the 2019 one...she got it as an insurance replacement for her ipad mini 1st gen (!!!!) a year ago. It came with 4g but she doesnt use it. She uses it entirely for youtube.
Do not be surprised how many people can use a machine without generating a single character or byte of content. All consumption. Zero productivity. No emails, no posting to forums, no schoolwork, no ordering stuff, no dr appts...nadda. And there are hordes of this type...and they tend to match their 7yo ipad with a 16 pro max or more
Generally iOS customers update their operating systems quickly and developers expect this. So you may run into support problems with these devices in as little as 1 year if you're running apps where the developers are supporting only 2 OS version behind instead of supporting the long tail of customers.
However if the choice is between one of these products and something like an Amazon Firetab, I'd still choose the iPad. The reason comes down to screen quality and CPU and GPU performance where even the very old iPads win by quite a lot (up to 5x performance).
