They make some with a tarp-like backing to them. Useful mostly if you want one that you can reuse multiple times or for a long term. The ones in this post are mostly for one time use, emergency/first-aid kind of situations (though they are still fairly durable). I like to keep a couple in each car in case of breakdowns in cold weather.
