I got a 10w one for cheap just to mess around with and it's been fun. But I realize when I do a large project, it can take forever to complete, like 12 hours. I can begin to fathom how slow a 3.5w engraver would be.

On wood, I haven't tried metal yet. But I suspect my engraving area is much larger than this. I think my max area is around 16"x16"
