While looking for a deal on a Ridgid impact wrench and chainsaw, I stumbled upon this in-store clearance item: So, this is a big YMMV. Don't chew me out on it.
BRUSHLESS Subcompact Drill + Impact Driver + TWO 2.0Ah Batteries - it sounds like a perfect kit for somebody who is entering the Ridgid ecosystem or somebody who just needs a basic yet reliable power tools around the apartment/house.
Go to the item page. Look for the "See In-Store Clearance Price". If you don't see it, try your luck again by "check nearby stores".

I bought the sub compact drill kit on clearance for $50 a while back.
It might be worth snagging for the sub compact drill kit impact driver and extra drill and batteries

$100 is not bad, but $77 is great
Not sure how bad this experience has left a bitter taste in your mouth. You may not even want to spend another penny on RIdgid. Provided you wanted to keep the tools and the store might have sold out, I am curious if it's worth your time to even consider asking custom service at the store to REPLACE (instead of return for a refund) the same or better model?
