Man these are all the rage right now huh? Half the runners and walkers in my neighborhood are outfitted in weighted vests. It just seems like you're putting more stress on your joints for no reason...

Great for walking, to increase muscle growth and burn calories. If you're young and healthy or even old you can use it for running, but for advanced level cardio where running is equal to walking ie you can run for 2-3 hours no problem

Anyone knows if it has removable weights or weights can only be added beyond 20lbs? I am seeing online that 10% of body weight is recommended for even advanced users. I do a lot of cardio but limited strength training. Would you recommend this for someone who weighs 150 lbs?

Yes, there are 8 x 2.5lbs bags, 4 in front and 4 in back. You can remove them and use as many as you want. I am 135lbs, and use 15lbs for now. I like it. Straps are good enough to keep it from shaking when running

I just received mine yesterday and went for a 4 mile walk with my dog. This is more comfortable than carrying a standard backpack since it's evenly weighted. The difference in overall exercise is noticeable, but maybe I'm just not used to it.

I plan on using this on my daily dog walks. Highly recommend.

Then that just seems pointless. What do you do after you lose 20 lbs, add another 20 to make sure you're still working out with the same effort?

The impulse exerted on the joints and ligaments can still be high for someone who hasn't gradually conditioned. As this vest is adjustable, I would slowly add weight over several weeks to minimize the risk of injury.

I have the 40lb version, and I can honestly say this thing is horrible. The design is super bulky compared to a weight vest with plates. I would not recommend the 20lb or 40lb version from this company. It is cheap...but that is it.
