These things have always been nothing but a novelty. Think about the worst sounding cheap fuzz pedal you can find and then play it through your clock radio. Fun gimmick for about 30 minutes.

I have one of these -- a white elephant gift.

Think of this as a desk toy. It's just a decorative mini amp to decorate your office like a bobble head figurine. Not worth using it to play an instrument, IMHO. It is cute, however.

When I play in the office, I use a Boss Katana Go played into a Blu-Tooth speaker with an aux in via a hardwire plug, instead of playing through headphones. You can sound really good at low volumes.

Of course, my solution is *much* pricier, but I figure some folks may already have the speaker and Katana Go or similar, already.

Years ago I bought one of those cigarette box amps. I probably used it a few times within the first month and that's about it.

I got one a couple of days ago...not impressed. It's very noisy and it's impossible to get just a simple clean sound. If you like punk overdriven sound it's ok....and it gets pretty loud. If you wanted just a little amplification for travel so you can practice Autumn Leaves or Misty, I'd pass.

I got one for my daughter who just started lessons and for someone who doesn't know what tone is its totally fine for her to practice in her room with. It also doesn't get loud enough to disturb everyone else which is nice. It's a cheap practice amp and nothing more. Definitely not worth $70, but for $30 it seems pretty good for what it is.

Check out the "positive grid spark" brand they make some great sounding small amps
