Finally a good deal on the ebike version of the Garmin Varia radar. This is same as RTL515, but without a battery, designed to be connected to an ebike onboard battery. I am planning to use with a USB power bank on a regular bike, with the front light and a horn connected to that bank as well, so I only have one battery to recharge instead of all of the individual devices.

Cable is proprietary. Not included, and the OEM version for OP's use case is $30 https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/12...-13331-00/

For $20 more I think I'd go with the 515 that has its own battery. I get the convenience of being able to plug it into your ebike, but the self contained one can be used on multiple bikes.

That's the same proprietary cable.

The point is they gave the device a proprietary port requiring a cable to convert it to C, instead of just putting a USB C port directly on the device.

How does the cable not come with this? Its like buying a car but oh...you want the keys? That's extra.
