Want the best coffee buy a traditional bunn drip machine and use a paper filter.
Paper captures most of the toxic/irritant for your stomach blobs of oil from the beans and produces the smoothest consistency of coffee.
I used to work for Big Coffee trust me I know.

Yeah, and it's likely going to use Hoffman as a source so there ya go.

or a series of 5min YT vids, choosing one depending on your style of brewer/brewing. It's not like that would be available on the plat....oh wait. On James Hoffman's own YT channel. Wink I've definitely used his aeropress technique. If you're not into reading (or paying 2 bucks) then his YT channel is a great source.

Starbucks most sold coffee by volume hot and cold are put thru paper filter processes. Facts are hard to ignore.

  1. Get quality beans.
    2. Get a proper burr grinder.
    3. Do pourover, or if going to do drip get a machine that can actually get to 200° hot water.
3a. Make sure you have quality water. If your city water has chlorine, let it sit out for 2 days before use. If it has chloramine filter it, or buy spring water or findaspring.com. If you want to take this up a notch buy a cheap PPM water meter and look for spring water as low as possible (here in maine 15-20ppm spring water is fairly easy to find).
    4. Profit..... errr I mean enjoy the best coffee at home.

Yeah folks in this thread acting like a novel or telenovella has to be made to make good coffee. It's not brain surgery, it's coffee and hot water folks.
