I agree that the Ridgid and Harbor Freight kits are superior and the right choice for Shop Vacs.
I like the idea of this kit for a hand vacuum, since I use one often and would appreciate the added versatility for the hand vacuum with these. The bummer is that I already own 2 of the attachments (came with the hand vac), so I would be paying $20 for the other 2 attachments (hose and floor nozzle). Decisions, decisions...
