I live in a cheap ass apartment. There's huge 3/16th inch gaps all around the front door, so pretty much 95% of the sound from outside gets in. These strips actually work super well for that use case. I no longer hear my neighbors shouting at the top of their lungs watching sports or arguing
The adhesive is good enough. Just clean where you want to put the strips with lighter fluid or rubbing alcohol so it sticks well. for the bottom of my door, I had to find 1/2 inch foam to seal the bottom
