Good price but only if you're ok with the previous gen Venu. I have the 4 and so far I like it. Coming from a Fenix 3 HR

Kohl's has this model for $299 plus $55 Kohl's cash plus another 5% rewards. So if you want/need some Kohl's stuff, that would be a better value.

My wife had a Fitbit for years and was never quite happy with it. I got her this model of Garmin a couple of months ago and it is a major upgrade in both looks and function and the software is much better.

The 45mm Garmin Venu 3 is an excellent fitness smartwatch with a great combination of health tracking, workout features, and everyday smart features.

No requirement for a subscription for basic functions. Fitbit lost me forever with that bs.

Yes software is more accurate with calculation and estimate.

If you are not in the Apple eco-system, go for Garmin. I tried chep fit bit too - returned it.

You pay nothing after purchasing it.

I bought one of these, at this price, a week ago, after a lot of shopping. I used a Vivoactive 3 for many years and was very happy with it. However, the battery was getting weaker and weaker.

I am very happy with the Venu 3.

I am using the Time Flies watch face, which is extremely configurable.

In my experience, fitbits have broken or lost battery life fast enough that I could have three of them before the Garmin fails.

I bought a vivoactive 3 refurbished in 2020, lasted 4.5 years. Most recent, vivoactive 5 is going strong for roughly 2 years and no complaints other than the wrist band needs cheap replacement retainers occasionally.

I also enjoy the data and GUI more on the Garmin. It even helps predict when I might be getting ill and allows me to modify my actions accordingly.

I got a refurbished Venu 3 a few months ago and have been very happy with it. I came from a Fitbit Charge, which was fine when it worked, but would routinely fail after 1-2 years of daily use. Fitbit always replaced it for free, but it was tiring having to go through that process 4 times in a row.

The Venu 3 has been great. I don't use many of the features, but the screen alone is a huge upgrade. My only complaint is that it doesn't seem to be as accurate with sleep tracking as the Fitbit and never picks up my naps. The Venu 4 has some upgrades, but it's also a big jump in price.

How much did you pay for the refurb?

If it is any consolation, getting where you want to go with five buttons and a touch screen is faster than two buttons and a touch screen.

Longevity, usually. And far more fitness metrics. Worse sleep tracking though.

Fair enough, I actually just dislike the look of the five buttons. It doesn't look as sleek to me, though when my hands are chalked up from climbing it is a LOT easier to manage than a touch screen.
