Dang good price especially being BMHA grade 1 or AAA rated. Already have Kwikset dead bolts and door locks, so I can just re-key this to my existing keys and keep the included ones as spares in case I need to re-key again.
I am looking one with the matter/thread technology. Have heard the wifi versions are not great and might as well go dumb version in that scenario. - My "dumb" Kwikset keypad dead bolt is still on its original 4xAA batteries 3 years later. I did use Duracell or Energizer and maybe lithium knowing me.
these are sold for $50 flooding ebay with refurbished due to poor wifi connection and battery consumption
There are 100's of complaints on Amazon about battery life with some having to replace every few weeks to every couple months. I'm looking to upgrade my Schlage wifi lock but I only have to recharge batteries every 6 months or more.

This is correct.
I am currently using one right now. I was shocked how fast the battery drain compared zwave lock I had before. The wifi connection a lot better now after many updates, app is so much better too.
For the price is good. I am using two set (8 batteries) of eneloop, three months for each set, open/close at least two times per day.
I use Schlage encore which had batteries drain issues until my research online shows the Energizer Max had the best performance.
Wondering if anyone had similar experience with this lock using Energizer Max that solves the battery drain issues as I am in the market for another lock and don't mind switching to Kwikset.

I can confirm these run through batteries. I dont know exactly how long but around a month is when they start to beep with low battery alerts.
But im using rechargeable batteries which is not recommended. I have an extra set of batteries that I keep charged and swap when it starts to beep. No big deal but 100% something worth noting.
