Not a deal per se but it's a better deal than bad cables that never have all the capabilities they claim or they plain old short out.
Really surprised about the value with these and frankly it's what these cables should cost.
This is for stuff I run on my desk or to nice cameras, drones, drives, docking stations, etc. TB5 is too pricey now and very little takes advantage of it.
I'm sure I will get downvoted but think about your time vs the extra $4 buying a cable that doesn't really do what it says it does. That's a time deal!

Sounds like you missed the sale by a couple of days.
That said I agree with your mentality of one high quality cable being better than multiple cheapies. Especially on the go, I want a cable that can data & power, reliably.
