The standard line are made in Indonesia and aren't as good as the Mexican fenders. It's easy to find a used Mexican one for about this price.

Maybe not better than the old Mexican Fenders but better than today's Mexican Fenders but then again some American Squiers are better than the old Mexican fenders for that price. This is a steal for that color and that money. Guitars made in Asia is the future and new standard.

People are buying Fenders? The boycott's still on ppl. Also, I have a few guitars made in Indonesia, and they're more than decent for the money.

What's wrong with today's Mexican fenders? I got a player I when they were clearing them out and it's great.

couldn't get code to work. Save 5% wouldn't drop it to $496 anyway.

There are definitely amazing guitars being made in Indonesia... by companies other than Fender. Look up any review of this new standard line on YouTube. They'll tell you that these are a step down in quality from what Fender usually puts their name on.

Strong disagree. Older MIM were packed with cheapo pots and pickups. Basically the same cheapo innards as the MIK Squiers.

Yes they're much better than they used to be in Indonesia but I don't think are on the same level as a MIM. MIA is just made in the USA by the same amigos lol. I've owned some super nice LTD Indo guitars but Fender cheaps out on theirs.

I don't think this is a steal unless you really want that look. You'd be better off buying a Squier CV if you don't need that Fender badge on the headstock. Or a Player II like the $549/599 adorama deals that come every couple months if you're fine with blue.
