Is it actually double the range? The one posted has a better range than OEMs, I had the nicer 1 mile range Compustar before and that had great range, but nowhere near a mile. For reference for real world numbers, the 1 mile range one would work about 350-400ft away from inside a large concrete building. This 3000ft range one was hit or miss around 250-300ft, my OEM 2-way Ford one works to about 200ft.

I had two of these Compustars, the 1-mile one range was great but didn't work half the time on my manual car (installer blamed car even though I never had issues starting the car with a key, I think they did something wrong...), the second one was the same/very similar to this deal and worked great. It came with the smartphone app (you have to pay for), that was super nice for Wisconsin winters as I could start it anywhere I had service. AKA, flying back from somewhere in January when it's -20F I could have it started when we land 🤣

None of them have the correct range. I can tell you I have both only was able to start my car that was in a the parking lot from inside the Hospital with the Idatastart

The compustar didn't even come close. I had to be outside of the hospital.

I can't imagine someone wanting to start their car a mile away. You waste a lot of gas

You have to pay a monthly or yearly fee for the LTE. But some people like it.
