Seems like a good deal if you are wanting a smaller platform or just adding. I recently bought the Chamelion set during one of the last deals. Despite having all this in the Ridgid line, this seems like a good addition to the hoard. The batteries alone run $68 at Lowe's. I was holding out for comments, but I guess I will be the guinea pig

These are not brushless. I use the brushless version for my around-the-house drilling and whatnot. Much easier to work with than larger 20v tools, and powerful enough for almost anything.

It's a great set, and this is a fantastic price for it. It's currently 189 at Amazon. I too have a bunch of Ridgid stuff, but only grab the Ridgid drill when I need the hammer function, or larger than 3/8 chuck capacity. Over the past couple years, I've picked up two other drivers, a work light, the 5" RO Sander, and a cordless Dremel that uses the same batteries. It's a fantastic platform. At this price you can't go wrong.

How does this compare to Milwaukee Fuel and their line up of M12 compatible tools?

Have had these for a few years now. Very reliable for DIY work around the house. It's handled anything I've been able to throw at it. Much prefer the smaller footprint of these tools as compared to the larger drills/drivers which most often are overkill for DIY work.

FYI these are brushed models not brushless. I do have both versions of this set and brushed i have had for more than 10 years now, used it a lot and they still work perfectly fine with their original batteries.

Since these have brushed motors, I would prefer Milwaukee's M12 lineup over this.

FWIW, I bought the Chameleon brushed version of this almost 7 years ago...like others, I always pick it over my 20V Dewalt unless the extra heft is just necessary...or I need the Impact...which the Chameleon doesn't have.

Bought the brushless version of set (these look identical, tho?) for my dad many years ago and they've been great, still run perfectly. I've used them on a few projects myself, more power than you'd assume for their size/weight. Only downsize: the plastic battery cases split early on, both of them, but it never progressed beyond a cosmetic issue.

Great deal! I use the 12v the most for all my power tools, and these are still going strong (unlike milwaukee 12v one, ya 2 out of 3 of the milwaukee 12v is going bad) and these can with stand abusive to run battery way down before u have to recharge them.

Nice size for getting into tight spots. This is what my local appliance repair techs use.

Got this a while back as my first drills and they've served me well for a long time. I've since gotten into Dewalts 20v line, but keep this set in the car for the times I'm out and could use a drill (you'll find uses when you have em) and as my loaner when the neighbor asks to borrow something so I'm not giving out my "nicer" drills
