Do not buy. Never stays connected. Nothing plugged I to it ever stays stable. Do not buy orico. Their products have good looks, terrible functionality. I get that they keep the lights on at slickdeals but at some point it's just a bad idea.

FWIW, I have this and it works great (as a hub). I manually swap my keyboard between my desktop and laptop docking station....honestly this just acts like an extension for my use so I have more accessible ports vs fishing behind the desk. Only issue is the clamp is so small and so close to the body of the hub, it barely hangs on to the edge of my desk since the edge is slightly curved. Would have not been an issue if the clamp was 1/2" further out from the body. Also the camp doesn't clamp all the way so down when I tried to attach to my thin laptop stand as an alterative mounting location, that didn't catch either. Ended up using a felt pad to act like a spacer. But as a hub...works fine.

if anyone is curious, after removing the screwing clamp part, it almost perfectly fits 2010-2023 mac minis, making it stand vertically and adding a hub

If you do buy this, make sure it reports at the correct USB speed. These are just rebadge china specials. I've bought and returned a few that were really USB 2.0 speed internally.

This is the one I settled with that works as advertised: https://www.amazon.com/EJAY-Desk-...B0DNJWQ3SM

I'd be spinning my monitor every time I plugged something in...
Doesn't seem like a good place to mount stuff.

I was thinking they were backing up their home movies from Zip drives.

I use it to hide connections that never get altered under my desk. I have two 8bitdo controllers (Ultimate 2 and Pro 3) as well as my old 360 wireless adapter connected to mine.

Three wires go down behind my desk, only one connects to my PC.

you might need a powered hub. i have my pc in the basement and had to get usb and hdmi cables routed through a floor vent. usb cable was tricky. due to cable length, no cheapo hub would work. it has to be powered.
