Aint no way '4TB NVME with TB4 enclosure' was ever $100, I've never seen a TB4 enclosure for under $40 been tracking them for a while

4TB even a crappy generic brand QLC dramless was never under $150 and TB4 enclosure even a cheapy brand was never under $30. Unless you purchased your from a 5-finger discount source. I got 4TB Crucial T500 for $200 in July 2025 and that was the last time you can find things for cheap

Tough pill to swallow on these when Microcenter had them as low as $400. Great computer though. Still rocking my base Mac Mini M1 and just picked up the Air M5 base.

4TB NVMe drives were $160-170 at the low point in the market, maybe $150 at the absolute lowest sale prices. And true TB4 enclosures are $50 and up. You likely couldn't have even gotten a 2TB drive plus a TB4 enclosure for $100. The rampocalypse is real, but you're exaggerating or misremembering.

I snagged a Galaxy s24 ultra 512GB and a 4TB NVME bundled together direct from Samsung for about $800 a couple years ago.
