Recently got a Vankyo v700 to test out if I like having a projector or not. I like it a lot. Is it worth to upgrade immediately or wait another year to upgrade?

Would this be a good projector for outdoor use? I will be running an extension cord so power isn't a problem. I just don't know about the bulkiness of it and projection distance.

Your same screen will work fine. It is the ultra short throw projectors that some are calling Laser TV, those can use the ambient light rejecting screens.
