I was just shopping for USB hubs today. This is one of the ones I passed over. I'm looking for display output over USB-C and nearly none of them offer it.

What's a decent/inexpensive USB-C to HDMI option to just cast my phone screen to a portable monitor for stuff like basic streaming on the go. Doesn't need to be super great quality

Have this one and never use it. It's so finicky about which charger cords it'll actually do PD through. Replaced it once just to see if it was a one off but nope. For reference the same cord can charge my Macbook pro but when plugged into the pd slot it won't charge.

Wouldn't recommend.

You're right ! I searched for longer cable but could not find one.
Finally I had to buy additional extended cable https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FF8S7...title&th=1

I have been using this for 2 years. Works well except for I was unable to get acceptable HDMI resolution for my 3440x1440 monitor. My goal was a single usb cable to my laptop handling several usb devices + HDMI + charging. I ended up using a 2nd usb-c output from my laptop for video only and this Anker handles the rest.
