Hate fans like this. You probably can't replace the light kit readily (like can you even find a TCL light kit at a local shop like Lights Fantastic) and the sealed lens for the light inevitably starts trapping dead bugs.
Sounds like it's not sealed enough.

Personally I would go with TCL since it's a more known brand/name, etc. Better quality control at least perceivably.

i recently went through a ceiling fan rabbit hole. wanted a connected home but a lot of them are bad quality with connectivity issues and whatnot. also wanted dc motor and old school bulbs.i just ended up getting dumb fans. Hunter Brazos fans and got a bond bridge. this has worked so far.

No Zigbee, no deal.
I would like zigbee as well, but wire a Zigbee switched to it and you are good.

Needs two basic ones, one for the light, another for the fan. There are switches made for fans but are more expensive than this fan, hence my comment.

I just bought this. The lens cover comes off so you can screw the light unit into main fan unit.

Generally if a ceiling light/fan combo has 2 switches then it has 2 sets of wires, however this has 0 switches because it comes with remote control. I am sure it will have just 1 set of wires. Additionally all 2 wire ceiling fans can be put on a single circuit/switch/wire.
Its 1 set. Mine just arrived

Don't think that will work with this DC motor fan. I got hunter fans from Costco and then bought a bunch of GE zwave switches after going through same thought process. It's been years and actually never even installed the switches. Fans pretty much stay on 24/7 and very rarely need to adjust speed. Still have switches brand new that I need to get rid of lol.

Ahhh yes, let's bring up a light store that only has one location in the entire United States.

LED lights have an extremely long lifespan, I can't imagine having to replace the light kit.

Isn't this size too small. But the fan looks nice. Wish larger sizes had discount too
