The 5, 7, 10.4, and 14 cubic foot freezers are also on sale at significant discounts, accessible at the same link above. Buy as big as you can fit

We considered the 3.5, because it was all we thought we needed, but in the end bought the 7. You can quickly fill any size of garage freezer

Figure out how many heads you will be storing and go from there.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Just FYI - I have an Insignia from BB that is not garage ready, but it was so cheap on BF 6 years ago that I took a chance. I live in the SW and this thing runs like a champ in a non-temp controlled hot AF garage. The only maintenance I've done is defrost it once a year.

Definitely a must buy. Thanks OP. Mine has been running like a champ after I cleaned a few pest off my neighbors property & mine, and tucked the meat away for the winter. Now 2 Coyotes, armadillo, half a deer, & a possum ready to heat up at any time

I have two of these. I have a 3.5 and the five. No issues at all. I wish I needed another one I will buy it. I use mine for deer venison meat after hunts. They just work perfectly. They're quiet and great purchases. This is a really good price.

Thanks for this post, I got $54 back. A couple weeks ago I spent $200 on the 7.0 ft.³ version on bestbuy.com, and I called and they gave me $54 back because that one is on sale for $150. Thanks to the OP!!!

I'm confused. My dad needs a freezer that will be in his garage for at the moment all fish he's catching. We live in Arkansas. Is there a reason this won't work in a carport? Please and thank you

How long have you had the 3.5 and 5cf Insignia chest freezers? Also an chance you can measure the length of the cord? I'm not sure if the cord is the same length for both the 3.5 and the 5cf unit.

I got the 5CF one yesterday. Did you need the cord length for that one?

That would be very helpful if your willing. Also how are you liking the freezer so far (if you've hooked it up)? Seems like a great deal for all the different sizes.

They say "garage ready" just to mean that you can use it in a non-climate controlled environment rather than in your home.
