Bought one of these a year ago from meh and it is a great medium sized fan. Moves a ton of air for the size, it's relatively quiet and looks a little nicer than the basic vornado fans. Good deal if you are looking for something like this

Do you think this would work well at the bottom of a stairway to help move cool air up stairs? Would it have enough "throw"?

This is a very effective fan. It is very quiet on the lowest setting, but still pushes a good amount of air. It has a wide adjustment angle. Bought on sale from Costco for $40 as I recall, so this an excellent deal.

Great deal. $25 seems to match the all-time low price. It sold for $30 at meh a couple of times before and front page deal from Costco at $40.

Just note that this version from deal websites do not come with the remote... Not a deal breaker for me as all my other Vornado fans do not have a remote either. I decided to pull the trigger to replace a compact 133 that does not move much air and is starting to squeak.

FWIW Vornado honors their warranties with no issue. They replaced a 4 year old space heater no questions asked just a pic of the cord cut sent and new unit was there in less then a week.
