The first thing that will break off is the armrest. Everything else held up pretty good, including the adjustable hydraulics.
Also, want to mention that the bottom of the stool circle piece is not polished, which will leave scuff marks on hardwood/vinyl/stone floors without some kind of cushion.
Buy with a card with extended warranty if you are weary.
