hm i just read retinol results are not permanent and if you stop using it, your skin will return to the pre-retinol look unfortunately

Honestly just buy differin unless your skin is extremely sensitive, OTC ret is fairly weak, since we live in the states you have to get what's a good retinol through prescription like Retin-A,differin process you can get without a prescription. I've tried over the counter retinols with no real results.

There is probably some truth to that, nothing is permanent. It'll help promote skin turnover which will help fade scarring.
