I love that they brought back the 5800X3D, I hate that it's over $300. To be at the same price point as the 7800X3D is lame.

Buying my 5700x3d off aliexpress for $120 a couple years back feels like a steal of the decade for me in pc parts.

I wish I loaded up on SSDs and RAM, but luckily I was able to buy a matched DDR4 kit to bump me up to 64gb. Good for a few years.

I feel your pain. But is that 7800x3d coming with a mid-range mobo and ram? My struggle is having to upgrade the rest of my rig.

Not enough of a jump over my $200 5700X3D. The 5800 was always a premium over the 5700 which is why so many people just went with the 5700 and saved over $100. In fact, due to overheating and throttling issues, people often underclock these and get faster real world results.
