Like "you will own nothing and you will be happy about it" kinda business here. I think their printers are like those bs "we only give you a license, and you don't own anything" kinda situation. Search up on Google on this. Sure this might be very functional. But I am sure there are better ones with full user rights that you won't have to fight for to use any way you want.

Bambu has a great product and tech and bang for buck is near the top. They charge a premium for their material but you dont have to use theirs.

Not sure what value this sort of rage bait comment ads

As far as the deal goes, IMO pay a bit more and get the P2S with AMS and dont look back

It isn't a rage bait comment. If you've been following, Bambu has been extremely anti-open source, for locking things down on the cloud, locking out users on local networks, etc. They've stepped back since the backlash was so poorly received. So absolutely justified to share this type of feedback, considering the future of your device could be at risk. Great machine, but it's something that should be considered.

They prevent third party accessories, force users to go through the cloud risking security and ip, violated open licensing and threatened legal action against those who respect open source. Anti competition and anti consumer. But you probably already knew that.

I'm not happy about some of the stuff Bambu has done lately but I have 4 brands of 3D printers and the Bambu ones seem to require less maint than the others and the maint they do require is quicker to fix than the others. YMMV Support has been top notch as well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

There's basically no reason to use their filament. Their spare parts are reasonably priced.

If you have security or privacy concerns, use Bambuddy and skip their cloud.

Seriously, buying software and finding out they can just discontinue it whenever.

Please do not support this type of nonsense on any level.

Right to own right to repair. Freedom!!!

Yet let's consider the other side.

I recall a few decades ago Mac was pretty tied down and guess what, they were the reliable ones.

So, if you control who can mess with your hardware you can quality control it.
If you are the only ones and don't bother with certifications and trials of outside companies, then you have a lot less headaches.

Creality is the wild, wild west. The exact opposite of what we are looking at here and I have really no clue as to what add-on broke what!

I still expect what I bought to keep running at least the same way as the day I bought it. Never remove features that's just dishonest.
