I am incredibly underwhelmed by the RZ30 compared to my Pioneer LX505 and the RZ70 is a step up from the Pioneer.
Just curious: what is it about the RZ30 that underwhelms you? Are you using it mostly for movies/TV, or for critical 2 channel music listening? Are the speakers crossed over to a sub?

Interesting, for us we compared it to the RZ70 on a 9 channel SVS Prime/Ultra setup.
At average levels, difference was not significant, definitely not over twice the price difference.
Adding Bass Control made a much bigger difference for us.

I run a 3.1 on my TV and switch to 2.1 for music. I have Martin Logan and a 14" Klipsch. When you turn it up to ear splitting levels it just is lacking compared to the Pioneer 505
So I missed out on just the speakers alone for 799. Is this worth getting or just wait for the speakers to come back at 799? I have a receiver (tx-nr747) but it's 10 years old. But I doubt I'll ever need the 11 channels of this one. I had built in ceiling speakers before but just moved so now getting floor speakers is all new to me. I do have a sub already.

Yeah I'd wait. This bundle isn't worth it if you don't need 11 channels, you're grossly overpaying for the AVR.
