i would highly recommend spending more and getting a Move. I got my dad a Roam and its the only Sonos speaker we havent loved (I have 4 different kinds)

This would be a great deal for the Roam Gen 2. The Gen 1 had a lot of issues, from poor UI to premature battery failures.

I have a Move at home but would this be ok for an office? Or is the sound still not good enough?

Good deal, I have one and wish I would've waited for this deal. I like the speaker and it's pretty consistent (sound wise) for the Sonos family. No regrets, except its more of a hammer looking for a Sonos nail than a speaker you need

I am a sonos hater. Amazing hardware but the software is just horrible. Too many better options for their price point to pick sonos, even at this price.

As an onwer of a flawless Roam Gen 1, I recommend also skipping the Gen 1 unless you've got the gumption to deal with whatever may or may not come up. I've read way too many horror stories to ignore that fact that there are some serious issues with certain units.

Mine lives in the shower and I use it everyday, and charge it maybe once every two weeks. It's a great shower speaker with voice control, AirPlay capability, and is rugged enough to live it's life in a humid environment like a shower. If I replace it however, it'll be with a Play (2026)

I'm a big Sonos fan, but this is a turd. Get the Roam 2 when it goes on Special with the Otterbox cover for approx $130. It had many UI issues
