Thanks for posting this!

I was a beta tester for Liberty Pro 3. I loved it so much I purchased another set as backup for when the battery started to die. I never needed to pull out the new pair. I did bring them on a flight "just in case" and ended up losing both pairs. Devastated. So I've been waiting for a replacement pair for a long time. If these are anything like the 3s (quality and fitment), then I'll be extremely happy.
Cool story bro.

From what I gather they're the same performing earbuds only difference is a voice memo recording case?

Edit: didn't realize there's a pro and pro max. After googling and reading description, pro may be what I'm after

AFAIK the 3 pros were one of their best earbuds as far as sound quality goes. They're a bit bulky especially compared to todays buds but damn do they sound good. I know tech has come a long way since then, but take this with a grain of salt. I think you'll be dissapointed going from Pro 3 to regular 5.

I have the liberty 4, so not exactly a direct comparison. I bought them in December, I was flying for a living and never took them with me as I lost earbuds frequently as our uniform pockets sucked. Anyway, since I'm not flying anymore I'm using them a lot more. In July I was starting to have issues with them, the sound on the right side was weaker than the left. Then one rainy run day at the start of this month, I started getting static noises before I made it home. The next day the right bud wouldn't connect. So I did the process of cleaning it, no change, restart the bt, no change, restart the phone, no change, "forget" the pairing, then my phone couldn't find either bud nor case. Went through the warranty process and the day after I had some new liberty 4's. Anker did a great job with the warranty!

The buds themselves, are just ok. If I'm sweating a lot they don't stay secure in my ear and have fallen out a few times. The rubber nubs didn't stay secure either, sometimes they popped off, either staying in my ear when I pulled the bud out, or lost forever on the trails. I was on a longer bike ride and a bud slipped out, took a good 10 minutes to find it on the side of the trail in the dirt and grass. I'm glad the "find my bud" beep was working. Sound was as good as a baseus ma10's I once had. NC doesn't seem any bit better than others either, and they are/were the "highest rated" for NC. Battery life is good. My longest bike ride was over 4 hours and they did just fine. Sweaty hair will make it beep even if you turn off the tap features.

Anker helping with that warranty was fantastic though.
